PractableAI (“PractableAI,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides practical AI education, lessons, newsletters, courses, tools, and related resources through practable.ai. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, and the choices available to you.
Information we collect
Information you provide
- Newsletter information. When you subscribe, we collect your email address and may collect subscription source, preferences, tags, and engagement information such as deliveries, opens, and link clicks.
- Communications. If you email us, we receive your email address and the contents of your message.
- Accounts, courses, and purchases. If these features are offered and you use them, we may collect your name, email address, login information, billing details, order history, course enrollment, and course progress. Payment card details are handled by the payment provider used at checkout; we do not intend to store your full card number.
- Submissions. If you submit comments, feedback, examples, or other material, we collect the information you choose to provide.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the site, our hosting and website systems may collect your IP address, browser and device information, referring page, pages requested, dates and times, cookie identifiers, and security or error logs. This information is used to operate, protect, and troubleshoot the site.
How we use information
- Provide and improve the website, newsletter, lessons, courses, tools, and support.
- Send the PractableAI newsletter and other messages you request. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.
- Respond to questions, support requests, and feedback.
- Process transactions and provide access to purchased resources if paid products are offered.
- Understand site and content performance without creating advertising profiles.
- Prevent abuse, protect accounts, maintain security, and enforce our Terms.
- Meet legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations.
Legal bases for processing
Where European or UK data protection law applies, we rely on consent for optional marketing, performance of a contract when you request or purchase a service, legitimate interests in operating and securing PractableAI, and legal obligations. You may withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal.
Service providers and disclosures
We disclose information only as reasonably needed to operate PractableAI, fulfill your requests, protect rights and security, or comply with law. Current or expected service categories include:
- Kit. Kit processes newsletter subscriber data for us, including email delivery, subscription management, and engagement reporting. See Kit’s Privacy Policy and Data Processing Addendum.
- Google Analytics. With your consent, Google processes limited website interaction and traffic source data for us. Advertising features are disabled. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
- Hosting and website operations. Our site is hosted through IONOS and runs on WordPress. Website features may use WooCommerce and Tutor LMS for commerce, accounts, or courses.
- Payment providers. If paid products are offered, the provider shown at checkout processes payment information under its own privacy terms.
- Professional and legal support. We may disclose information to advisers, auditors, insurers, or authorities when reasonably necessary.
- Business changes. Information may be transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross context behavioral advertising.
Cookies and analytics
The site may use cookies and similar storage that are necessary for website functions, security, login, shopping, course access, and saved preferences.
We use Google Analytics 4 only after you choose Allow analytics. It helps us understand page views, content engagement, traffic sources, outbound clicks, newsletter actions, and contact intent. Advertising storage, Google Signals, and ad personalization are disabled. We do not send form contents or email addresses to Google Analytics. Analytics associated user and event data is retained for two months.
You can decline analytics when prompted or at any time. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
Third party content, such as an embedded video, may set cookies or collect information when you interact with it under that provider’s privacy terms.
International data transfers
PractableAI and its service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, providers may use recognized transfer safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or an applicable data transfer framework.
How long we retain information
We retain information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here. Subscriber information is generally retained while you are subscribed and afterward as needed to honor unsubscribe requests, resolve issues, or meet legal obligations. Communications are retained as needed to respond and maintain business records. Account, purchase, and course records may be retained for service, tax, accounting, fraud prevention, and legal requirements.
Your choices and privacy rights
- Email. Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email. We may still send necessary transactional or service messages.
- Cookies. You can use browser settings to block or delete cookies, although some site features may not work properly.
- Privacy requests. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a portable copy of personal information. You may also withdraw consent or appeal a decision where applicable.
To make a privacy request, email hello@practable.ai. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. You may also complain to the data protection authority where you live.
Children
PractableAI is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us so we can review and delete it as appropriate.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so please do not send sensitive personal information by email or through a general website field.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as PractableAI changes. We will post the revised version here and update the effective date. If a change materially affects how we use information, we will provide additional notice when appropriate.
